Hey readers, well I am getting the hang still of posting, I had posted on Monday, but I guess it did not up date or something, I will get better. It is the mid-week and my workout has been great and consistent. I am testing out a detox this week so I will updated everyone next week how it went and what the results are .I added this because it is good to do a spring cleaning of the body. I use to get colonics all time but got away from it since I moved from my hometown. As of Monday I have completed 8 full months of non-stop workouts YEAH!, have not stop. Have I seen difference? Yes, I am much toner, and stronger. I love it shape has changed with less looseness. I think is the combination for running also. I will state, I did not have a weight loss goal but a few pounds and much need toning, because that is so sexy to me. Also a tight body keeps you looking good and youthful no matter the age. But as you age it is important to keep it tight. Far as running my lovely best friend, well it is on track, no miss group runs and have gotten on the schedule of long runs on the weekends by myself.. I decided to try to keep 25-30 miles per week run schedule. This also help with keeping my caloric count at 3500 per week. Have a few races scheduled coming up before it gets to hot outside. One other thing I am admin of a workout group online, so look out!. Getting ready for the Summer, it will be 2 piece swimsuit this year, and leaning down for a fabulous dress to go to a party celebrating a running mate weight loss accomplishment in May...

The ReCap of a Run/Workout Week!: Remix of The Get it Girl 4/4/14
Hi everyone, well it is the first of the month of April and I am off to a good start. The weather has held up so I was able to run outdoors three times this week and do 15miles. My goal per week is 20 to 25 miles. So this weekend if the weather hold I will do my long run Saturday or Sunday. My in the gym mode "Get it Girl" workout was awesome and I have added more weight during my hour of power class, squatting more heavier very proud of that. I will be adding some supplements to my regiment, and will discuss those soon. At this time I only use pre-workout, pre-natal vitamin and MSM for my joints which is works fine for running. Oh, I do magnesium and biotin as well magnesium for muscles and biotin for hair. The biotin I do not use daily because I breakout in ache I use it for my hair especially after each wash I double up. I have signed for two more races this month. Reason well the prices tend to go up and trying to save money on them to fit the budget. I do love racing however, as a Mommy on a budget, and a Budgetnesta, love fun but want others to know that yes, you can race and not cost you. A part of racing and running that it is one of the low cost hobbies a person can have. All you need is a good pair of running shoes which you should go to a specialty running store to get fitted very important for your feet. Another is please you do not need all of the gadgets that are out there to run. I have learned that, for instance, I track my miles for free with a running app on my android. I so wanted the Garmin or the Tom Tom, but because it is a costly item, I have put that on the backburner. My run app does just fine, and heck I pay a cell phone bill use the free applications. I thought I needed the compression socks immediately, because being new my running group talk about them how great they are then they(not me) fell off running during the cold months. I am a true believer that you should be consistent in taking care of your body so I had to re-think through what is it for exactly, not saying I may buy them in the future, but I have learned after my long runs, to do a recovery run the next day and drink protein shakes. Oh, don't forget the awesome clothes, well that is lovely which of course love the workout gear, I am at the gym five days a week at 4 or 5 am plus run 4 days a week so this is a budget item as well. Walmart, Ross, Kohls, Marshalls have great things and for the low. I do get really cute for my race for pictures so that is my splurge but cheap. I have found name brand upscale items at Ross for $14 and $10 bucks!! can't bet that. I want people to know don't think this hobby is expense it is not but people can make it that way. My goal also includes, run a Full Marathon in 2015, and get my speed up so that I can join the Track Club Competitive Team in my age group. Hope you enjoyed this ReCap/Remix... Running Challenge: 14 Races in 2014
Well it is almost April, and I was talking with myself in January ( as most Runners do), To take on the Jill Conyers a wonderful Fitness Blogger challenge. 14 of 2014 Races. I was like, Okay that is a lot of Races and can I do this commitment?. Well, I have decided to jump in full force, I have 6 races already completed and still in my Half Marathon bliss mood, Yes, I can do this. As A Mom on a budget, a Newbie and hook on Running I love the feeling of the Race. In that said it will be done. One issue that I am having with this commitment is first make sure I stick with a good budget so that it is not a burden but a lovely hobby I have embrace. At this time there are a lot of deals on future races for the Fall and 2015, however because of cost I am truly looking closely at my race budget. In addition, I have a conference that I want to attended that I am involved in my running group and it has a run and conference fees. I am even thinking over a particular race that is expensive to me and weight the pro's and cons. Such what will it benefit? is it a charity run, what will I get out of it? Along with this, I must remember the cost of summer race apparel, new running sneakers and etc. I want to make sure that I do the right thing and make right decisions for the race. Okay, So I have been so excited since Sunday, March 23rd, in which I did my first Half Marathon. It is the Publix which is known to be the beast. Well it was so much fun, I did not sleep that night to well do to excitement. Me and my wonderful Running mate Mary was so siked up. During the run I did not have to use my music at all, me and my mate laugh the entire time and talk. The first six miles I did intervals, as I did thorough out my training, boy, when I hit that 7 mile I opened up, it is like I feel like I'm just getting started. The volunteers were awesome cheering and yelling. I sort of waited to post this because it would bring me so much joy to share. As I started to reach the finish line and I could see it I started running evening faster to get my time as close as I wanted I made it at 2:56. I really was shooting for 2:45. but I am fine with that. Through this experience, I got a chance to find out a lot about myself and abilities mentally and physically. At the finish I felt some emotions well up, but I turned back around and not to consume myself but I turned around and shouted for my running mate to cross that line. I with running with my mate, she has inspired me a whole, lot, and we have just keep each other encouraged. She is a mom of four and truly a fighter in her own right. Still in Bliss what will be my next race in the running community? Will Post A update!!

March Run Madness
Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in blogging, I have done 1 race this month and will update. Even though I thought about doing a 14 to 2014 challenge I am still hesitate to make that commitment. I am getting ready for my first Half next week, I ran my first 10k last weekend and it was so much fun. Something that I truly recommend people to do is not it horrible all week and then race. Oh, my eating was not spot on as I usually am pretty good at. As I started to run I felt very heavy and started to blot up in my abdomen area. So number #1 rule eat healthy. Because of that experience last week I am eating better this week. Also, if you do not know running pulls in gravity, so it will cause to have a serious bowel movement. I use last week to taper off of long runs, and this week as well so that I am very refresh for next week. Will stay in loop with posting. Also, being a mom of a toddler and a business owner, can be taxing on balance. So I must do better to build a audience and keep you reading about my run/fitness diary.. A Plus, I have been working out constantly 4-5 days a week for 7months. I have seen changes in my strength and personal attitude, not a lot of weight loss which I am not seeking but to add more muscle.

January Winter Run Races In Full Effect
I completed two races this weekend that was so much fun. Saturday I did a 5k race for Atlanta Mission for the Homeless the funds are to raise money for those in need of temporary shelter. It was extra cold and I had to wear my mask which is so cute with pink designs. The second run was the McDonald's Hot Chocolate 15k! my first 9.32 miles. It was a much better temperatures, the run gave me a taste in how my up coming half marathon preparation. I did intervals the whole time and had a good pace and finish in 2hours. I could feel me pushing through at the 8 1/2 mark, this tells me I will need to prep very well for the half which I am working on now. Upcoming race is going to be a lot of fun, it is Mom's Run this Town Start Your Engines" 10k it is virtual but I will run with a local group chapter. You get medal and a swag bag too!. The price point for the virtual is great it was $15.00 dollars woo whoo!. I will add a race coming up for February, which is the locomotive series 5k. The race is on a Sunday, I like that because I have a family and Sunday morning work really will.

2014 Rookie Running Challenge:Should you sign you for 14 races as a Goal?
I have been thinking about how many races should I do this year, and because I am a rookie, running 5 months and 2weeks I want to go "Gung Ho" but don't want to over do it and get burnout and plus balancing family life and responsibilities. Also, I have a some very season running mates and super ambitious ones that will run when duty calls. I also look at the races and have to give into account the running budget. How much will I invest this year, is it in my budget? will I give myself a limit? the answer is in the air. So for right now I have 4(three)races that are paid for and I am training. I truly thought about doing 14 races for 2014 challenge. But I have been thinking I just don't want to get far ahead of myself, post that commitment then stress out about it. At this time I am doing the following:1.Atlanta Missions Homeless 5k
2. Hot Chocolate 15k (9.32)miles
3Mom's Run This Town 10k
4.Georgia Publix Half Marathon
I am doing my first 15k WOW! I would have never thought I would be doing this, Plus coming up training for my first Half Marathon, which is in March. WOW I looked at this before I got pregnant 2 years ago. Now I am in training for this one else well. So I will keep you all posted. On my training.
I will look at some races and I am thinking and researching some daily and prices. Will keep everyone posted.
