On The Run! June Reset Monday Motivation

Hey Readers, Today Is the First Day of the Month and the week, and yes I have goals, hopes, desires for myself and family. Some of the most challenging areas of each of us is reviewing our goals and actually putting them in to action. Some more than others become sidelined by the first obstacle that comes their way. Like today, this day has been a rough day after my morning 5 mile outdoor run and workout. I did not even get my prayer time in either and that always help me put the day in prospective. So with this opposition will I let it change my goals? No way!, Everyday is a new life, I take it day by day. So what are your goals for the month? Have you thought about it? well go ahead write it down, on your vision board, smart phone or diary/journal. Here is my workout plan:
Sunday: 6 mile outdoor run, and abs/ squats
Monday: 5 mile outdoor run, and chest/back/abs + Hatha Yoga 30minutes before bed
Tuesday: Cross Training and hour of Power(full body weights with increase factor for chest)
Wednesday: 6 mile outdoor run, quads/lunges/calf raises, + Hatha Yoga 30minutes before Modern Family show
Thursday: Cross Training, and hour of Power( full body weights with increase factor for chest)
Friday: 8-9 mile long run Fridays ( no weights) Hatha Yoga 30 minutes
Saturday: rest day!
That is my workout week! this month goal to run 100 miles and I have a 5k race and keep my hour of prayer time per day that keeps everything in prospective!

Friday! Yeah! SnapShot Of The Week Gone By!

Hey Readers, Well it Is Friday, I have a minute to get in a conversation with all of you and how the week went by!!! woo it did! I lose track of each day.. To give a snapshot of just today, as a mom, wife and fit lifestyle. I read various blogs and have so many woman and men that I love so much and sometimes when I read their busy lives I get exhausted by how much they are doing per day. Well It even overwhelms me so I reflect back on what I am going to share, I hopefully you will not be overwhelmed either. I applaud those that can cram a lot in a day. I use to be like that (speaking of self not judging). But now having a child it is even more important that I try to stay balance. Sometimes I feel it and have to sit back say what will it profit me, to run like a rabbit, and see my life past me by. To share about me, I was giving a chance to have a baby that I did desire but I was so consumed with life and afraid of what if? God ( I give him the glory) that I was pleasantly surprise with a pregnancy to my husband of 14 years( now, 17 years). I was like wow and shock! So once she was born she revived me, honestly and help me put things in prospective. I even sleep so much better, because I suffered from severe insomnia. Slow down everyone, please! my husband and I was giving a gift, and I am very glad to be available to see her grow at home with work from home. She is such a blessing to me!. My husband is really cool too, we have been in each other corner. My doggie Happy, teaches me before my baby, love, he is the sweetest son in fur. Readers value what is first that is those that you love. When it boils down to it that will be the most important in your life. I have learned that Today, is the most important just today! I can not predict tomorrow, today is my life that is all I have, and so do you. I hope this finds you encourage to say because I try not to look past material things or what I want, because wants change daily I just pray that all is met for my family needs.
So let me get to the fit lifestyle,:
1.This week I accomplish my goal 27 miles complete Yeah!!!
2.I weights this week 3 days minimum but will take it up to 4 days
3.I am getting in my water intake of 64oz and above.
My run group we have bump up hour mileage which is great because it will keep me from not getting bored, and challenged.
My Blog Goals:
1. I will make sure to blog a minimum of 3-4 times per week
2. I need to update my blog with a design
3. Add my Girls Gone Sporty Ambassador badge
So if any one wants to donate to upgrade it  by all means I welcome it!!!

Monday Motivation and Workout "Get It Girl 4/21/14 You Can Do It Too!!

Hey Readers, Got a Few Updates and Workout Continue Plan for You, Last week I ended up taking 3days of rest do to I was just tired out. Rest from running and workout class. But Got Back on the stick Sunday evening with a 3 mile run. So for your motivation today and for the week, " Do you surround yourself with others that enjoy working out and running or some sort of fitness? or do you hang with people that do nothing? Well  to stay motivated one must know why you are taking care of your body on a weekly basis, Is it to be Healthy and Strong or endurance to support your family activities. A quick way to fall out of the workout and running is going through the motions of life, and not having a plan. Everyone has a plan to work and take care of your family which is your means of financial support but what about your health. I worked a job that took up all of my time to ware it was so hard to exercise, and it made me unhappy with the employment. It absorbed so much of my time me and my husband were passing ships. I was gaining weight did gain weight it was terrible and I was miserable. I never work somewhere that it controlled me. So once I left and created alternative business during my stay with that job I had more time to balance a better life. This is so important for moms and people everywhere. Make sure you are happy first, you can not get your time back, I believe exercise make you feel, look and naturally happy. Make a plan weekly for yourself. Even through I miss my a few days for rest I am back on the saddle. Even include your children this makes a healthy lifestyle for the whole family. Here is my Plan for the Week:
Monday: 4mile run outdoors( no weights today )
Tuesday: Cardio, Stairmaster, and Elliptical Machine: Hour of Power Full Body Weights
Wednesday: 5mile outdoor run and legs/abs/calves
Thursday: 3miles indoor treadmill, and Hour of Power Full Body Weights
Friday: 6mile outdoor run and upper body/arms( modify looking to do a new workout)
Saturday: Tenative Rest Day or Tot Trot for my Toddler
Sunday: 10K Biggest Loser Run
My minimum goal per week of miles 25-30 per week

This Week Recap Remix of the Run/Workout, Get It Girl Plan 4/11/14

Hey Readers, today is Friday, and want to update each of you of the run/workout week went this week. I went pretty, good I stuck to the plan of my goals this week, accept today Friday I was going to, do circuit  training, but my running group we did 6 miles this morning more of a mild run, and then the next group of my running crew came and we all hugged and talk to where I ran out of time to hit the gym to get home on time by 6:30am. The recap is I did add Beta Alanine and Creatine to my pre-workout drink and had a better push of weights. I did add a extra day this week which is not on my plan posted last week. I add 3 miles on Thursday. I decide to keep up a mileage of 25-30 miles per week. During my half training, I did a good mileage, so I decided to stick with that plan. One of the reasons also Hey, I love to run. This weekend I will do a run as plan hills, 6- 7 miles. This week I am trying out this detox called Sassy Water for 7 days I am on my 4th day, I will share about the results next week. I am getting good results with my body, seeing some leanness, and muscle definition. I would say to each of you to get a plan and stick with a workout plan that works for you. Every workout is not for everyone, the one that I have  is good and doable, please if you have any questions about the plan, you can do it to. One thing about me I go to the gym, I am not good with video tapes and need the atmosphere, plus it is my time by myself from the family focus on my health. Most mommys I believe my opinion need sometime to do something for themselves physically, who says that you have to look like a mom, and forget to keep the body tight. I truly think one will feel better about themselves. Hang in there everyone, stay focus!

Running Challenge: 14 Races in 2014

Well it is almost April, and I was talking with myself in January ( as most Runners do), To take on the Jill Conyers a wonderful Fitness Blogger challenge. 14 of 2014 Races. I was like, Okay that is a lot of Races and can I do this commitment?. Well, I have decided to jump in full force, I have 6 races already completed and still in my Half Marathon bliss mood, Yes, I can do this. As A Mom on a budget, a Newbie and hook on Running I love the feeling of the Race.  In that said it will be done. One issue that I am having with this commitment is first make sure I stick with a good budget so that it is not a burden but a lovely hobby I have embrace. At this time there are a lot of deals on future races for the Fall and 2015, however because of cost I am truly looking closely at my race budget. In addition, I have a conference that I want to attended that I am involved in my running group and it has a run and conference fees. I am even thinking over a particular race that is expensive to me and weight the pro's and cons. Such what will it benefit? is it a charity run, what will I get out of it? Along with this, I must remember the cost of summer race apparel, new running sneakers and etc. I want to make sure that I do the right thing and make right decisions for the race. Here is the List So Far of Race Completed and Races Coming Up
Atlanta Mission 5k 1/14 =Completed
Hot Chocolate 15k 1/14 = Completed
Mom's Run This Town 10K 2/14= Completed

Accountability Partners For runs or Workouts: Love them or Leave them!

Today is January 4,2014
Already, 4 days into the new year. As it is January the beginning and the weather is certainly cold. I do not do new year resolutions because I feel they must be things that are short and obtainable an that you can tie into your daily hustle and bustle lives. I like to incorporate goals because it become habit forming and part of the imprint of your life. For instance, people all of a sudden get accountability partners to share a fitness goal. However, it can turn to a bust if you both have not made a true commitment to self. That means sit down with yourself and say" Why are you doing what you are doing". Then write it down. for yourself. Because once that person stops base off of life circumstances out of their control or really did not make a true dedication to self. You will fall off the commitment. Make sure if you have a accountability partner and groups please spot the Debbie Downers" One sided encouragement, you got to push them, call them to remind them of the workouts or runs etc. That's not accountability partner that is a negative drainer, and you will fall prey to it. Oh' let me not forget the one that if they are not orchestrating the plan to workout or run they find a way to discourage the other one. Also, take time to observe the person you have selected to be a accountability partner what is their workout habits previously, do they stop and start all the time?. Take the time to really know who they are if you select them as a partner.
